Good for our President!

Didn’t make much news, but as a number of news sources reported, President Obama signs Patriot Act extension without reforms.

Now if his predecessor had done this we’d hear all sorts of hysterical outcry, but not now…

Fact is, in so many ways, when it comes to terrorism, Obama is like a Bush third term.  He’s in the chair, gets the briefings not accessible on the campaign trail, and he understands the reasonable need to protect our country.

Good for the President.  Hope for change doesn’t need to mean deference to paranoid hysteria in our policy.
